Whisper Sweetly in the Wind
Bodies Trembling, Hearts that Sing,
Tails Curling as Soft Forms Flow,
Gentle Movements Through Waters Slow,
The Sensual Touch of Unbound Wings
Pressing On Bodies, Sweet and Clean.
The Tender Songs of Warm Beings,
Echos of Movement and Touch,
Glimmering Scales Alight of the Moon,
And Water and Wind Caress Their Souls.
Tails Entwining like the Bonds of Hearts,
Claws and Teeth Shining Without Fury,
The Sky Weeps Tears for Their Beauty.
Tears Falling Softly To Their Bodies,
The Sound a Rythm to Their Symphony.
These Deep Echos of Love.
Bound by the Dragons' Souls.

Dragons
In my dreams I ride on dragons
Of fire and dew, blood-red
And pure white. In my dreams
I have the confidence to love my body,
But this is dream-shown in the way I flaunt it
And in the way They want it
As They want others. I am
Not the stunted one, second-best with the speech impediment.
I do not compete endlessly with those
Of the bee-stung lips, fragile bones sliding
Smoothly under untainted skin. My dragons and I,
We soar through clouds made of the souls lost
To the soul-less. Our sun is hidden beyond
The mountains in the distance. Those tall towers
With words carved into them,
Words I cannot read from this distance. We
fly
Literature
Dragons
Where did they come from?
Where did they go?
Questions to which answers,
No one seems to know.
Beautiful and gentle,
As much as a flower.
They soon disappeared,
Due to man's lust for power.
Only those now
As rare as sages.
Can truely find a dragon
In these modern ages.
Once these creatures
Where the protectors of us all.
Sheltering great civilizations
Until they disappeared, leaving them to fall.
Everyone I know
Is a dragon you see.
I look out for you,
You look out for me.
Dragons will be with us
Through the reaches of time.
In fact there's one sitting here,
Teaching me this rhyme.
Literature
dragons
the dragons are creeping
along my garden
they are not very big
but their teeth are sharp
Master says they are friendly
I hope she is right
for they are peering into my window
and their teeth are sharp
colors of all sorts glitter
like wet jewels
O! how they are pretty
but their teeth are sharp
Poto has one as a pet
caution my friend!
some of your animals are missing
and their teeth are sharp
dragons rest on roofs
a drive on mine
the timbers are creaking
and their teeth are sharp

I wrote this for Eva originally while her and I were still together. I've won several awards with it and actually although I think I can do better, I'm still very happy with this one. There are some very light sexual connotations, but nothing that I felt warrented it being put under mature.
Oddly enough one of the awards were given because they'd never thought such an emotional and warmly sexual piece would be written through the perspective of dragons. I was not expecting such a warm reception for the subject matter, it was pleasantly surprising especially since this little piece is in a volume of poetry that is in the congressional library because of it.
